Christmas gifts

From a soccer standpoint, there are two gifts that I would like to see the United States men's soccer team get this year. That is the healthy returns of both Charlie Davies and Oguchi Onyewu, in time for the World Cup. These are two of the most important players on the team and both were lost in what turned out to be one of the most emotional 2 days in national team history. Basically, having Onyewu and Davies will make the U.S. a team that nobody will want to play and a team capable of knocking off anybody in the 32 team field, and honorary 33rd team Ireland. Without these dynamic players, the U.S. team will not strike fear into the opposing team and will lose and enforcer and a game changer. You could argue that after Landon Donovan and Tim Howard, Onyewu and Davies may be the most irreplaceable players on the entire squad. So Santa, please get these players healthy so we can shock the world next summer. Oh, feel free to throw in a healthy Jermaine Jones for good measure.
