Beasley continues hot streak for Rangers

Dear Stuart Holden, Robbie Rogers, Jose Torres and Sacha Kljestan,

Your chances of making the World Cup squad next summer are about to get a little bit worse. See there just happens to be this guy who has played in two World Cups, was arguably the best U.S. national team player for a number of years and currently plies his trade with Scottish powerhouse Rangers. His name is DaMarcus Beasley and he is officially on fire. He's not only scored in two straight league matches and set up two others, he is playing with a confidence that seemed lost during the Confederations Cup. In a nut shell, an in form Beasley will earn a spot over and each and every one of you guys any day of the week. In fact, if it wasn't for a laundry list of injuries both big and small, Beasley would never have lost his spot in the first place. So while you may not be happy about this news, American soccer fans are thrilled that one of this decades top performers may be on his way back to the top of the heap. There is still a mountain to climb but if his current form is any indication of what's to come, then Beasley should be able to get over the hump by March. I wish you all luck. You're going to need it.
