With the news coming in about Charlie Davies (who is apparently recovering from surgery and is expecting 6-12 months of recovery) taking center stage, tonights World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica has sort of taken a back seat. But the show must go on, pre-game starts at 7:30 on ESPN2, and it is a very important game for both teams.
Costa Rica can clinch a birth with a win and a tie will put them in a tie breaker with Honduras if Honduras is able to dispatch of El Salvador tonight. The U.S. wants to win the group and redeem itself against a team that sort of humiliated them back in June at the Saprissa. This should be a great match so buckle up and enjoy the ride. I'll be posting a post game report after the match.
