After what has felt like forever, Schalke midfielder Jermaine Jones has officially been approved by FIFA to make the switch from Germany to the U.S.
Jones is still recovering from his latest surgery to repair his fractured leg but he is expected to return to practice in the next few weeks. Jones will instantly boost the American midfield with his tenacity and technical ability. Despite the fact that he will be in the early stages of his recovery, it might be a good idea to call Jones into the national team camp prior to the November 18th matchup against Denmark in Aarhus to start the process of integrating him into the team. The moment that a healthy Jones steps onto the field he instantly becomes the best player at the deepest position in the national team pool. That alone should make Bradley put Jones near the top of his to do list.
In other "foreign guy wants to play for the U.S.A." news, some midfielder for Leeds United expressed interest in joining the American national team program. Turns out he's not eligible so i'm not gonna waste any more time on him.
